This place makes the best sandwiches in California...maybe even the nation. They have great beer on tap and the vibe is amazing. Tony the owner is cool af. Bri the sandwich girl is fine af. This place is fire, everything you desire...

Updating my review from 2015 because I think that is the last time I came to any BH.  All I really remember is that they were expensive and took forevahhh.  That has not changed.  I never understood why it took so long to make a meal that has NO cooking or grilling.  This is for all BH, not just this location. Oh they do use a microwave if you call that cooking.

The employees here have no sense of urgency so the wait is even longer.  Sandwiches pretty much start at $10 and once you a drink etc... this little lunch can cost you close to $20.  I will say the bread is pretty fresh and they put a lot of meat on their sandwiches.  I was sad to learn that they no longer had potato salad.  It mush have been awhile because the guy looked at me like i was crazy and had to ask someone else.  My "aujus" was a microwaved buillon cube.  Nice.  They also have quite a few that oddly come with cream cheese?

I just highly suggest calling ahead or online ordering.  I just don't think their sandwiches in general are anything special.  I am actually surprised they are still around.  There is Too much competition with something better to offer.  Sourdough and Co. is opening up in the same center that will give them a run for their money.  Now they have something special!

This location takes about twice as long as any other beach hut I've ever been to which is probably because the employees (at least some) are drunk. When we first came in a guy with a scraggly beard and trucker hat was counting all the tips on the counter facing us but didn't even look up or greet us for about 2 minutes. When he finally did say something he kinda sounded slurry but I didn't think anything of it. They then started singing the song on the radio together, still counting tips and not taking my order.

When we finally ordered and sat down for the long wait we overheard another employee talking for a long time to a random customer and heard him mention how fun it is working here and how they were taking shots in the back. Extremely unprofessional and terrible customer service.

Nothing is more fun then bringing your food home and having to remake your sandwiches because all the bread was a soggy wet paper. By far the worst sandwich experience I have had in all of Sacramento. The sandwich was packed with way to much meat that killed the flavor of the condiments and veggies. How is the bread  from Safeway better then the bread from a sandwich shop.  ‍ my food lovers I advise you to proceed with caution for your bread needs.

Great sandwich but took pretty long just for two large sandwiches. I was there for more than 20 mins and there wasn't that many people. I asked for extra pepperoncini and by the time I got home there was only like 4-5 in each sandwich. I was greeted and the cashier was nice. The guy who handed over my order looked like he didn't even wanna be there and gave me an asshole look. I'll go to another location.
